Omni Slide Menu

Note: Updated May 31st, 12. Minor change to .js file to work in mobile browsers (menu activated onclick in those cases).

Description: Omni Slide Menu is an super versatile slideout menu that reacts to the mouse hovering over and out of it. It supports enough features to make your head roll, though the default setup only takes a second to implement. All settings to the menu is done inside an external .js file. Below lists some of the main features of this script:

  • Supports 3 different types of orientation- left, top, or right of the browser edge.
  • Supports multiple instances of the menu on the same page, each with their own optional independent settings.
  • Menu can be set to always appear in view as the user scrolls the page with a choice between two behaviours- "absolute" positioning or "fixed" positioning. For the later, the menu will appear perfectly still even when the page is scrolled for browsers that support it. Non supporting browsers (IE6 and below) will simply fall back to "absolute" positioning.
  • Virtually all aspects of the menu dimensions and colors can be easily set. Link targeting also supported.

As you can see, if you need a slideout menu, Omni Slide is your guy!
